THE DRAG CARTEL PRODUCTIONS
The Drag Cartel Productions is a dynamic and inclusive platform dedicated to uplifting and showcasing talent within the queer performing arts community. Rooted in the celebration of diversity, creativity, and self-expression, the business unit works to create opportunities for LGBTQ+ artists to shine; both on stage and behind the scenes.
Throughout a variety of events, workshops, and productions - The Drag Cartel Productions aims to:
1. Promote Queer Artistry: Highlight the unique voices and performances of queer artists; from drag performers to dancers, musicians, and visual artists - fostering visibility and representation in the arts space.
2. Empower Emerging Talent: Provide a nurturing space for new and upcoming artists to refine their craft, build confidence, and develop their creative careers.
3. Create Inclusive Spaces: Establish safe and supportive environments where performers, and audiences alike, can celebrate queer culture without fear of judgment or discrimination.
4. Advocate for Social Change: Use the power of art and performance to challenge stereotypes, address social issues, and promote acceptance and understanding within broader communities.
By combining entertainment with empowerment, The Drag Cartel Productions seeks to not only entertain - but also inspire, educate, and build a vibrant, inclusive artistic community where everyone has a voice and a stage.
Alice in the Cape Flats
Alice in the Cape Flats is a story about discovery and acceptance. Discovery of who we have always been and acceptance of it.
We follow Alice as she embarks on a journey through time, meeting fantastical characters along the way, helping her reinforce the star she has always been.
Be ready to be thrown into a world of adventure, laughs, great food and musical performances that will have you transported into the magical world of the Cape Flats.
